Celebration of the Bicentennial of the Independence of Brazil

The celebration of the Bicentennial of the Independence of Brazil in Bratislava was attended by around 280 guests, in a prestigious place in the city, on the banks of the Danube River. The Brazilian and Slovak national anthems were performed by saxophonist Jazziel Leite and by Martin “Fogo” Halász (berimbau). There were also presentations by ABADÁ Capoeira, CAMPANA BATUCADA, Colorful People duo and street dancers. The “Semana da Pátria” (Homeland Week) was followed by a concert of the renowned guitarist Fabricio Mattos in the Primate’s Palace and by the “Brazil Fest” in the city of Nitra.
