Brazilian business mission meets with BSCC members in Bratislava

Slovakia presents many opportunities for trade and investments partnerships. That was the main take-away of a Brazilian business mission after meeting local companies representatives on the 6th and 7th of September. The mission was led by former Federal Senator Lauro Antonio Texeira Menezes and also included Mr. Pedro Menezes, a representative of the IWM investment office, based in São Paulo and Salvador (Bahia state). The visit had the purpose to find Slovak partners for possible investment initiatives in a wide array of fields such as energy and aviation, in addition to doing trade in the food sector, especially fruits.

During their visit to Bratislava and Nitra, the Brazilian entrepreneurs met with BSCC members who are active in those sectors. President Milan Cigáň introduced the Chamber to the visitors and shared his views about the prospects for doing business in Slovakia and how the private sector from both countries can cooperate. They also had talks with the Secretary of State I of the Ministry of Economy, Mr. Jan Oravec, and representatives of the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) during the Brazilian National Day Reception. A follow-up mission is being considered for the first half of 2022.
